THE BASICS

Terms of service.

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Yenpo is a personal project. These terms cover the Yenpo app for Mac and the yenpo.app website, both provided by the developer of Yenpo. By downloading or using Yenpo, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use it.

Early Access preview

Yenpo is free during Early Access and needs no account. It runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 14 or later. Each build stops working 30 days after it was packaged, on the date shown next to the download button; reinstalling doesn't reset it, so update before then. Features may change or disappear between builds, and the preview may end at any time.

No warranty

Yenpo is preview software, provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent the law allows. It will have bugs. Keep using version control and backups for projects you open in it.

Using Yenpo

You may install and use Yenpo for personal or work projects during the preview. Your code stays yours. Please don't redistribute or sell the builds (link to yenpo.app instead), try to bypass the build expiry, or use Yenpo to break the law or to read code you aren't allowed to.

Your code, the AI Reader, and model providers

Browsing, searching, and comparing Git revisions happen on your Mac. The AI Reader is optional and uses a model provider you connect with your own API key. When you ask it something, your message and the code it reads go to that provider, not to the developer. It only reads unless you turn on Allow Edits for a run; then it can change text files in the open project, and stopping a run doesn't undo those changes. Terminal commands run as your macOS user.

Your use of a provider is covered by your agreement with it, including its pricing and how it handles your data; check its terms before sending restricted code. AI answers can be wrong, so check them against the source. You're responsible for what you send and for edits you allow.

Privacy

See Website privacy for the website analytics, and Privacy and control for what the app keeps on your Mac.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the developer of Yenpo is not liable for any damages or losses, including lost data, code, or profits, that come from using or not being able to use Yenpo or this website. Some places don't allow this limit; there it applies as far as the law permits.

Changes and ending use

These terms may change, for example if a paid version arrives; the date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use Yenpo means you accept it. You can stop at any time by deleting the app. The developer may end the preview, or your use if you break these terms.
